How does the process work?

Stage 1: Schedule Your Intake Call
During this phase, we’ll welcome you to our firm with a one-on-one Trademark Intake Call to confirm your trademark name, products and services, company info, and dates of first use.

Stage 2: Measure Your Success / Map Out Your Path Forward
Next, our in-house legal dream team will conduct a comprehensive trademark search and craft an opinion letter for one-on-one review with our legal team.

Stage 3: Approve Your Draft
Then, we’ll meet one-on-one during a Trademark VIP Call to review your trademark search results and discuss your brand’s next steps. During our call, we’ll submit your application to the USPTO after receiving your approval.

Stage 4: Review & Resolve Legal Issues
Next, you’ll sit tight as your application is reviewed by the USPTO after submission. The trademark process typically takes 12-24 months due to the high volume of trademark applications submitted to the USPTO.

Stage 5: Trademarked
Finally, your trademark is approved for registration. Once we receive your Trademark certificate from the USPTO, we’ll mail it to you for your records so you can celebrate! 

What does the turnaround time look like?

If we have all the information from our client, your trademark application will be finalized and filed within 7-14 business days.

What do I need to have in place before I work with you?

Prior to working with us you should have a clear idea of your business’s services and/or products as well as your company’s overarching goals.

How long does it take to register my trademark?

Generally, it takes approximately 12-24 months from when your application is filed for your mark to Register, assuming there’s no additional requirements or responses needed.

Can I file a federal trademark if I’m not selling anything yet?

That is a great question. Yes! If you have not begun selling your goods or services just yet you can still apply for your federal trademark using the intent-to-use use application we like to call this a “future use” application. This application type essentially holds your place in line until you are ready to begin using your trademark. However, please note that the USPTO will eventually want to see proof that you have begun selling your goods and services to consumers which can incur additional fees dependent on the package you invest in. 

Do you have a payment plan?
